Global Oil & Gas and Agriculture Commodities Trader:  The divestment of 50% of the business lead to a major restructuring programme to streamline global operations.  Nicer was engaged to review existing business processes covering Treasury and Finance and re-design the global operations.   A detailed assessment of core functions across geographically diverse operations lead to the development with the CFO a recommended organisation and change programme.   The programme was implemented saving in excess of 50% of the resources and implemented new centralised Treasury operations to enhance performance and global liquidity management.

Regional Tier 1 Bank:  High cost under-performing Big Data solution and tradition data warehouse applications driving excessive costs and delivering poor stakeholder service levels.  Strategic review and technology selection of the group reporting platform.   Multiple PetaByte Data platform comparing Hadoop based Big Data solution against Cloud based Database-as-a- Service technology.  Programme Management of the RFP with System Integrators and 100's of client stakeholders.  Detailed technology, economic and risk migration analysis and recommendation.  Client adopted migration from Hadoop to Cloud Database-as-a-Service solution dramatically reducing operating costs and enhancing stakeholder service levels.

Commodity Broker:  The Client is a leading Global Commodities Broker.  Existing technology landscape from infrastructure to applications to service delivery had not been developed for 15 years generating huge operational risk, ineffective risk and trading systems resulting in low profitability, inflexible pricing systems and recurrent credit losses.  Nicer undertook a detailed review of business processes and their commercial objectives across all commodity divisions, assessed the technology requirements leading to a 5 year IT transformation programme.  Nicer were commissioned to support the transformation both across the technology and people domain.

Global Systemically Important Bank:  The Client is in one of the top 30 banks globally. Nicer was engaged to programme manage a highly complex merger of multiple regional banks.  The programme involved integrating all back office systems covering Treasury, Regulatory Reporting and Finance as well as moving trading operations and creating a new mortgage credit union.  The programme team directed 1000's of in-house staff, third party consultancies and system integrator resources throughout the 12 month initiative.   Executed on-time to Regulator committed obligations within the 100M+ Euro budget.

Global Agriculture Commodities Trader: No: 1 & 2 global physical trader in their principal commodity classes operating across the Americas, EMEA and the Far East.  Credit exposure included diverse local counterparty trading terms, extended trading cycles, complex international finance, and geopolitical risk.  Risk exposure was materially exacerbated by a fragmented excel based credit application with cumbersome manual processes with minimal executive oversight of group credit risk, often resulting in unexpected losses.  We designed, and built a bespoke new group-wide credit risk system and implemented the operational processes to meet the exacting needs of the business at 1/3 cost of commercial alternatives within similar timescales.  The solution supported all commodity groups providing end to end counterparty credit management and executive reporting.

Tier 1 Bank - Global Wealth Management:  The Client committed to implementing a next generation Trade Surveillance application for their Global Wealth Management division.  Nicer was engaged to programme manage the vendor implementation of a proprietary Trade Surveillance application integrating multiple trading systems feeds.  The project involved deployment into the Client's private Cloud environment and the migration of many of the proprietary application features into the Clients' managed estate.  The programme involved extensive requirements analysis, development of Client specific market abuse alerts, their configuration and deployment across Americas, EMEA and Asia operations.

Tier 1 Bank:  The ECB enforced a regulatory requirement on the Bank to completely re-develop their Risk models using the IRB approach across all product portfolios and submit for regulatory approval.   Nicer was engaged to manage the IT programme management overseeing the development of new Model Data Platform consuming key data from all back data sources.  Extensive data engineering from source systems, including data lineage mapping from source to reporting destination together with operational data management processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, timeliness and completeness of data were implemented.   Integration of modelling engines with the Model Data Platform to provide a robust auditable end to end analytical engine.
